Undugu Society of Kenya Welcomes Mwongera Mutiga as Executive Director
The Undugu Society of Kenya (USK) is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Mwongera Mutiga as its new Executive Director. With over 20 years of professional experience in the development sector, Mwongera brings a wealth of expertise, a transformative vision, and a proven track record of organizational growth and impact.
Mwongera’s extensive career includes senior leadership roles with organizations such as B Lab Africa, CBM, and AMREF, as well as strategic consulting and leadership engagements with various United Nations agencies and international NGOs. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to implement strategies that enhance sustainability, resilience, and excellence in service delivery.
As an Executive Director, Mwongera has led high-achieving teams across 15 countries on four continents, making him well-versed in navigating complex global challenges. His expertise in organizational transformation, partnership development, and resource optimization will undoubtedly play a pivotal role as USK implements its 2023-2027 strategic plan. This plan seeks to sharpen operations, amplify impact, and achieve ambitious objectives for social change.
In his new role, Mwongera will oversee the development and execution of strategies, manage resources effectively, grow the organization’s workforce, and supervise finances and programs. His leadership marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for USK, as we continue to serve our stakeholders with excellence and innovation.

As we welcome new leadership, we also take a moment to reflect on and celebrate the impactful tenure of Mr. Eric Mukoya, who concludes his term as Executive Director after three remarkable years. Under his stewardship, USK achieved significant growth, strengthened partnerships, and made great strides in fulfilling its mission.
