Strategic Priorities

USK’s 2023-2027 strategies are aligned with the Bill of Rights as provided for under Article 43 of the Kenyan Constitution, 2010. The strategies are also aligned to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a specific focus on SDG1 (no poverty), SDG2 (zero hunger), SGD3 (good health and well-being), SDG4 (quality education), SDG 10 (reduced inequalities), 11 (safe cities and communities) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

Over the next five years, USK aims to enhance its capacity to address homelessness and its effects at a much larger scale than before through four strategies:

  • Capacity development for individuals and communities
  • Advocacy for sector reforms
  • Organisational impact and sustainability
  • Learning Adaptability and Leadership
